Database Maintenance and Office Assistance

We are looking for a candidate to fill a full time position who has excellent communication and interpersonal skills and has a great working knowledge of Microsoft Access, Excel and Word. A positive and outgoing attitude is a definite asset. The candidate must also be able to organize, coordinate and prioritize a variety of functions, and be able to manage them in a fast paced deadline oriented atmosphere. The candidate will answer phones and forward telephone or electronic enquiries, greet clients, send and receive email messages, perform basic bookkeeping tasks, compile data, statistics and other information, and perform other general office duties as required.

Qualifications:

  • Excellent computer skills and superior knowledge of MS Access databases and all Microsoft Office applications

  • Customer Service oriented with a mature and professional approach

  • Fluent in English ~ French is an asset

  • Ability to work independently and reliably within a team environment

  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills

  • Well organized with great accuracy and attention to detail and must be able to work with multiple interruptions

  • Ability to exercise tact, discretion and confidentiality

  • Experience working with a professional association, Not-for-profit or Charity would be an asset
